Hazrat Imam Hasan-e-Mujtaba (a.s)

Hazrat Imam Hasan ibn Ali al-Mujtaba (a.s) is the elder grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the second Imam. Born in Medina in 3 AH, he is celebrated in Islamic history for his profound forbearance, generosity (Karim Ahl al-Bayt), and statesman-like peace treaty that safeguarded the Muslim community. He is the progenitor of the Hasani Syed lineage (Sadaat-e-Hasani) spanning across the Islamic world. His sacred resting place is in the historic cemetery of Jannat al-Baqi in Medina al-Munawwarah.
